Gary Kershaw, Qatar Airways
Chair - FAA, UK

Gary is the REGIONal Manager, UK & Ireland, at Qatar Airways, and has worked in the airline industry for over 30 years.

He started his career with with Air Europe and Virgin Atlantic where he held various roles in Operations. He then moved into the commercial side of the business with Canadian Airlines, oneworld, US Airways, Air New Zealand and latterly South African Airways where he was General Manager of UK/Ireland for 7 years. Gary is also a keen squash player, loves going to music gigs and has an obsession for all things Apple!

Kershaw's mission is take the FAA forward in a post pandemic world and deliver value to airline and associate members throughout his tenure as Chair with some exciting innovations to come!

Patrizia Gallo - Saudia Airlines

Saudia Airlines’ Regional Sales Manager for Europe, Patrizia occupied the role of Chair of the Foreign Airlines Association (FAA) from April 2017 to september 2021.

With 30 years’ experience in the airline industry, occupying senior roles for Alitalia, Skyteam Airline Alliance, Royal Jordanian and Saudia, including five years as an FAA member, four years on the FAA Committee, two years as Vice Chair and four years as Chair, extended due to the pandemic.

Patrizia is an accomplished and strong communicator with a proven track record in business development, revenue responsibility, relationship building and partnership management within global organisations. She is tenacious, results oriented and possesses a strong ability to motivate others.

Paul Argyle: Managing Director of long-established, Passenger GSA, Flight Directors Scheduled Services Ltd and owner of expanding OTA, AlternativeAirlines.com.

Responsible for increasing UK passenger revenues for  international carriers including: Rwandair, Air Niugini, Blue Air of Romania and Air Niugini, as well as offering outsourced reservations capability for Garuda Indonesia and Aurginy.

Also contracted by the UK CAA for consultancy work on the Enhanced Contingency Planning project, which is used to repatriate passengers in the event of airline or major tour operator failure. Alternative Airlines is one of the UK fastest OTA's specialising in flight-only sales on a very wide range of the world's airline's. Currently personally studying for a PhD in Organisational Change at Ashridge/HULT Management College.

Mario Mansilla
Honorary Secretary - FAA, UK

MARIO RETIRED IN 2018 BUT KEEPS ACTIVE AS THE HONORARY TREASURER OF THE ANGLO-ARGENTINE SOCIETY IN ADDITION TO HIS ROLE AT THE FAA.

Mario is an Italo-Argentinian chartered accountant and linguist from Buenos Aires University (UBA). His passion for travel led him to join the airline industry in 1980 at Aerolineas Argentinas Head office. Soon afterwards he was transferred to Rome as the airline's Administration Manager for Italy & Middle East and later he transferred to London, initially as Admin Manager UK and for the following 10 years as General Manager UK, Ireland and Northern Europe.

In 2003 he joined Ethiopian Airlines as Sales/Admin Manager UK, a position he greatly enjoyed for 15 years, accompanying the amazing growth of the airline. After retiring in 2018, he keeps active as Honorary treasurer of Anglo-Argentine Society UK; Honorary Secretary of Foreign Airlines Association (FAA) and enjoys other interests such as gardening, running marathons (more half now) around the world and singing in the chorus of Chelsea Opera Group and other London choirs.

Julie is the Country Sales Manager, UK & Ireland, All Nippon Airways, Co. Ltd 

Since joining All Nippon Airways in 1997, Julie has significantly aided the growth of the brand, which is today rated as one of the top five airlines in the world and Japan’s only 5-star airline.

 As the Country Sales Manager for the UK & Ireland, Julie is responsible for maintaining commercial actions through data analysis and proposing strategies to grow the business. Her global airline industry expertise has helped raise the profile of ANA in the UK and Irish markets and established the foundations for maintaining and increasing customer loyalty. 

Julie heads up the marketing team in the UK and works closely with the travel trade for both the corporate and leisure markets. She is continuously seeking new opportunities to build global awareness of the airline, and ultimately increase group bookings as well as FIT sales. 

Aside from her day-to-day responsibilities, Julie is often called upon for speaker and panel session opportunities at key travel industry events and conferences, and is currently the chairperson for Star Alliance Country Steering Group UK & Ireland and a board member of the Foreign Airlines Association UK.

Adiel Mambara, Royal Brunei Airlines Committee Member - FAA UK

Adiel joined Royal Brunei Airlines in 2006 and has moved through the ranks, from a Sales Executive to being promoted to Sales and Marketing Manager and now heads Royal Brunei Airlines in the UK as their Country Manager.

A tenacious professional with extensive and unparalleled knowledge of the aviation industry. 

In 2017 Adiel had some notable achievements that included being awarded the Professional of the Year Award by the Zimachievers award committee and also became the first graduate of the Master of Science in Travel Business Leadership at the Leeds Beckett University. Upon successfully completing the course, Adiel was announced as the winner of the prestigious Institute of Travel and Tourism Student of the Year Award.

SUNANTA IS THE COMMERCIAL MANAGER, UK & IRELAND, AT THAI AIRWAYS AND HAS WORKED FOR THAI SINCE 02 JANUARY 1989.

Since joining THAI in 1989, Sunanta has now reached the highest position within the Company.  She has worked her way up by acquiring all possible roles within an online station abroad.  As a Commercial Manager for the UK & Ireland, Sunanta is responsible for helping THAI Head Office with propositions on how to grow the business and to relate all information to the UK & Irish market of THAI’s product and changes.  Her strength is to build and maintain strong relationship with Trade partners in seeking new opportunities in all segmentations in the airline industry.

During Covid-19, Sunanta has been given an additional task of overseeing the Customer Care team by helping them achieve the best quality servicing and reached the goal of maintaining and increasing customers’ satisfaction.

Aside from her day-to-day responsibilities, Sunanta loves her countryside living especially when walking her dog, Phoebe, she is able to go on an adventure to discover new areas within the UK.
